Linux inode Table Meta Data User ID Group Id Link Count

inode refers to index node. Linux inode table contains a list of all files in ext2 and ext3 file system. Inode data containing information about metadata.
ext2 and ext3 files system keep a list of the files they contain in a table called inode table. An individual entry in inode table is called an inode. Inode meta data contain file type, file permission, location of the hard disk,
link count no of the file names associated with inode number.
User id owner of the file
Group id number associated with group
Time stamp contain including last modification time, and last inode change time. And last access time.
